Leed Certification
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification system. Since its inception in 1998, the U.S. Green Building Council has grown to encompass more than 7,000 projects in the United States and 30 countries.
Atwater Crossing Homes have been built in compliance with LEED Platinum specifications, the highest level of energy efficiency and environmental awareness. New design construction strategies allow us to build smarter, more efficient homes that reduce environmental impacts and provide big energy savings. A 2003 analysis of 60 LEED buildings found that they were 25-30% more energy efficient than non-LEED equivalents. Better design also provides substantial benefits as better ventilation, temperature control, lighting control, and reduced indoor air pollution improve health and productivity. By designing and building with energy in mind, we can offer you homes that support a healthy, efficient, and environmentally conscious life.
Small Lot Homes
Small lot homes are single-family residences in which both the building and the land it stands on are property of the owner. Unlike condominiums, small lot homes are not subject to homeowner's association rules, regulations, or fees. Each home has its own walls, foundation, and systems for energy, communications, and water. Each homeowner is entitled to make changes to their home with no requirements for neighbor approval. In some cases, small lot homeowners participate in a maintenance association, which helps to coordinate and fund the cleaning and maintenance of common areas, such as landscaping.
